Licenses

The Charta Pascal code base is provided under two possible licenses. One open source license and one commercial license for usage of the code in closed end user software.

Open source license

The provided source code can be used freely and without costs when you are creating an open source application. The exact terms of this license are to be determined. At this point you must at least provide the full source code of your application (and all its components) to the users of your application whom are free to modify it. Also the reference to Charta Software, the code version number, the containing copyright notice and disclaimer is to be kept in the source code.

Commercial license

If the open source license is not applicable, then automatically a commercial license is needed to use the source code. For a commercial license a fee is to be paid that is dependent of the planned usage of the code. For a commercial license please contact Charta Software.
